Welcome to Episode 1 of the Benders & Brews podcast! Discover the characters and their story as we take a look into their world. We open on The Blissful Brew Tea Shop on a regular day. Inside Bill Door waits on tables, Guo Han runs the register, Brock and Meeka are both cleaning dishes all while Mr. Okuran creates his delectable tea and pastry creations.
As Mr. Okuran steps out for an errand, the crew is left to deal with a particularly unsavory character: a drunk man who is feeling particularly rowdy as he demands alcohol in a tea shop. How will the crew deal with the troublemaker and will they be able to do so before Mr. Okuran gets back? And without causing too much damage to the shop? Find out in the first-ever episode of Benders & Brews!

Welcome to Session 0 of the Benders & Brews podcast! We'll be talking with each of the players who will give you a brief overview of the characters they'll be playing which include the following:
Brock Lee: An Earthbender who is the (non-canonical) son of the very popular cabbage farmer (you know the one from the show).
Bill Door: A non-bending, refugee who is fleeing from the Fire Nation and finds himself in the bustling city of Gaoling working at The Blissful Brew Tea Shop as a waiter.
Guo Han: A short and slightly stout Earthbender who grew up in a traveling carnival where he learned all sorts of interesting tricks and schemes.
Meeka: A Waterbender who was banished by her own tribe and now seeks to decide if she's looking for a family, or will continue to fend for herself as she has since the loss of her father.

Jasmine, Oolong, Green, and White. Long ago, these four teas were skillfully brewed at the Blissful Brew. Then, everything changed when the shop's popularity threatened its existence. All Mr. Okuran, the shop's owner and tea-master, could do was recruit four teenage orphans to learn his trade and staff his shop. A year has passed since the orphans were hired, and although their skills have progressed, they still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything. But I believe that they have the potential to make the Blissful Brew the greatest teashop in the world.

Our Shows
At Session Zero Heroes we host a variety of different shows using several Tabletop Roleplaying Game systems from Avatar Legends to Dungeons and Dragons and everything in between. These amazing systems help us to tell our incredible, funny, and sometimes even emotional stories within a wide variety of genres and themes. We use these amazing tools to create characters, worlds, and everything inside them.

Benders & Brews
System: Avatar Legends
Benders & Brews follows a group of angsty, teenage ”orphans” who all work at The Blissful Brew Tea Shop alongside the kindly owner Mr. Okuran. Things get crazy when they find out that the shop is on the financial decline as a group of thugs is extorting the beloved owner for protection money. How will they manage to help their friend and save the tea shop?
Avatar Legends is an RPG system set in the world of Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra and uses the Powered by the Apocalypse System created by Magpie Games. Join us as we create our own story inside this world filled with elemental benders, dastardly villains, and creative creatures!
Criminals of Isla Numus
System: Dungeons & Dragons(5e)
Criminals of Isla Numus is a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Actual-Play Podcast where 5 players make their way through a sprawling city controlled by the god of gambling who has tasked the players with accumulating one million gold pieces in the span of the year or be trapped in his world forever. Can the players fulfill this challenge or be trapped in a strange place in strange new bodies for the rest of their mortal existence?
Hunter's Haven: Music Mayhem
System: Monster of the Week
Hunter's Haven is the subtitle we give to all of our Monster of the Week one-shots where we play through a game written by one of our crew members solving a strange and oftentimes disturbing mystery that typically leads to an epic showdown with some sort of monster or villainous creature. Currently, we have a one-shot titled "Music Mayhem" which we published during the Halloween 2023 season, so if cryptids and creepy things are up your alley be sure to check out the full one-shot.
Dilly Dunker's Ice Cream SatisFactory
System: Kids on Bikes
Join us in this one-shot where our characters will be embarking on an ice cream adventure inspired by Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Wonka prequel movie. We will be using the Kids on Bikes TTRPG system created by Evil Hat Productions for this one-shot. Be sure to check out Episode 1 which will be published at the same time as this episode. Escape from Dino Island
System: Escape from Dino Island

The team of DNA hunters arrive on DinoQuest Island accompanied by Admiral Assman from the local military.
