Session Zero Heroes - A TTRPG Actual Play Podcast
Skylar: In the aftermath of the Dino Quest park catastrophe, a, mysterious message found its way to four individuals, each a specialist in their field. This message outlined a dangerous mission of unimaginable reward, which would send each of these agents to the abandoned island overrun with the ancient reptiles for which it got its name. Their goal, reach the dinoQuest headquarters at the center of the island and safely abscond with the coveted Dinosaur DNA from its forsaken laboratory. As the echoes of this journey reverberates through our intrepid team, one fact remains true. We are all about to take our first steps onto Dino island. All right, welcome back, everybody, to episode three of Escape from Dino island, our little one shot from the powered by the apocalypse system. My name is Skylar. I'm the game master, if you haven't figured that out yet, and we are going to jump back into it. I am, joined with the same players as before, of course. But rather than just kind of jump through them, I want to ask them all a question, because I'm going to give them all a sort of, what's a level up? Or what's the official, term that they use? The advance. Advance. Thank you. Yes. So they're all gonna be taking an advancement move. they have three options each, and so they're gonna pick which one that they want, and they're gonna take that. And I'm gonna have them tell you what that is before we go further. So, Nate, as the kid, what advancement are you taking?
Cameron: Actually, I have two choices, but I am gonna choose to inspire heroism. That, means when another hero puts my needs ahead of their own safety, including a response to an ah. any roles they make are improved by one level. A miss becomes a 7979 becomes a ten plus.
Skylar: Nice.
Cameron: Essentially, if you're helping me, you can't fail.
Cameron: Yeah.
Skylar: Which is. That's insane. That's great. Well, this kid is getting out of here, even if it has to be over the bodies of you people.
Cameron: That's only if someone helps them.
Skylar: That's true. You do still have to choose that. That is a good point, but. Awesome. Fantastic.
Cameron: Who's gonna abandon a child?
Skylar: Right, doctor? Who would dare?
Cameron: Sergeant?
Skylar: Speaking of the sergeant, Aaron playing sergeant, Tim McMahon, the soldier. What advancement did you take?
Aaron: I took. Gun to your head.
Skylar: Whoa.
Aaron: So, basically, when I threaten a human with physical violence, they must do what I say or take an injury of my choice, really.
Skylar: And that's just straight up. You don't have to roll for it.
Aaron: For my knowledge, it's just straight up wow.
Skylar: Okay. All right. All right. Or they take an injury if they're really adamant about it, which people like, Admiral Aspen, probably very, very stoic. Very. I'm not telling you nothing. might be taking the injury, but otherwise, yeah. People like the doctor that you just ran into, that might have been a good one for him. He probably would have been like, okay, whatever you want.
Aaron: Well, you know, in the long run, doctors unconscious.
Skylar: Yep. That's.
Aaron: Don't matter.
Skylar: Don't have to worry about him. Awesome. All right. Jumping over to Cameron, who is playing the doctor. What is doctor Lazarus taking for his advancement?
Cameron: back from the brink. I can treat a character who is out of commission to revive them and heal them of an injury spot.
Skylar: Okay. Wow. That's powerful.
Cameron: Yes.
Aaron: The doctor feels like.
Skylar: All right, so if you find somebody that's pretty much, like, at death's door. Let's see. We'll see. You able to bring him back. And is that a role or are you just able to do that?
Cameron: It's part of my treat wounds, which is my normal heal. It's just I can. Normally, I could only heal injuries and I couldn't do anything to out of commission people, but now I can.
Skylar: Okay, very cool. All right, sounds good. And last but not least, Michaela playing doctor McKenzie, the paleontologist. What advancement are you taking?
Mikayla: I'm gonna do lizard brain.
Cameron: Lizard brain.
Skylar: What in the world is lizard brain? You. Lizard brain.
Mikayla: Basically, when I roll a hit with my special ability, which is dinosaur x.
Skylar: Okay.
Mikayla: Instead of asking one of my questions, I can instill a simple emotion like fear, apathy, anger into a dinosaur using body language and sound.
Skylar: Oh, so you do the, like, make yourself bigger than the bear or whatever.
Mikayla: Like, what should we call it in jurassic world as the raptors.
Skylar: Oh, you're pulling like a Chris Pratt. Put your hands out. Yeah. Whoa. Whoa, whoa. Awesome. okay. I like that. That's fun. I think this came. I don't know if this came out before jurassic world or after, but that's funny if it's came before, because they kind of predicted that concept. But anyways, awesome.
Cameron: That's animal training for you.
Skylar: Yeah. Yeah, that's true. with that being said, when we last left you guys, you had managed to escape the velociraptors that had kind of cornered you inside of the, electrical communications facility that was kind of a little ways from where you started. And after doing that, you were able to get to the headquarters. You managed to kind of lose Admiral Aspen for the moment. And you were able to get into the hatchery where Lil Jimmy managed to get an egg. And Sergeant Tim, managed to get some files on a flash drive and otherwise wipe the computer following. So you guys, leave the hatchery facility, and that's where we're kicking things off.
Aaron: Can I grab the doctor's key card?
Skylar: Yes. Yeah, absolutely. Yep. The one that you guys knocked out. Yeah.
Aaron: So it's another high end key card, basically.
Skylar: Yeah. Yeah.
Cameron: Just dooming him to death.
Skylar: Oh, yeah.
Mikayla: Cause he can probably get out. He just can't get in anywhere.
Aaron: I'll be honest, he didn't look that good anyways, from my military personality.
Skylar: He's gotta work up the courage when he wakes up to just leave. Like, I don't know why he was just chilling in that office.
Cameron: He watched his friends outside the office.
Skylar: That's probably true. He's like, what's in the office isn't as scary as what's outside this office.
Aaron: I don't think he's going anywhere. Even if he had the key card.
Skylar: Yep. Yep.
Mikayla: He had his chance.
Skylar: Yes.
Aaron: We'll just remember that. His sacrifice. What's his name on the key.
Skylar: Oh, on the key card. Ken Phillips.
Aaron: Ken Phillips. Will be. Remember, doctors. His doctor.
Skylar: Oh, of course.
Mikayla: He's a scientist.
Cameron: Every scientist.
Skylar: You're right. That's true.
Aaron: Will not be forgotten. All right.
Skylar: Ken Phillips. Rip. Yeah.
Cameron: Nice job.
Aaron: I'm pretty sure with how bad you described him as starving, I'm pretty sure a shock might have actually killed.
Skylar: That's kind of what I was concerned about, too. But I guess we'll never know unless you guys come back.
Cameron: We had a doctor.
Skylar: Oh, yeah, that's true.
Aaron: I only have one.
Skylar: Go ahead, doctor.
Cameron: You check his pulse or anything, or did you just.
Cameron: I look down at him on the ground, and from my chair, I kind of lean over and, like.
Aaron: Stick,
Cameron: My hand just, like, loosely near his head.
Aaron: put some ibuprofen on.
Cameron: He's fine.
Skylar: On his lips. It'll fall in, man.
Cameron: He'll hill that. He'll bounce back. Don't worry.
Skylar: He'll bounce back all right.
Cameron: Only a light shock. She only held it on for, like, 5 seconds.
Skylar: 5 seconds. All right.
Cameron: That's a long time.
Skylar: She was familiar with holding it to the ground.
Cameron: I don't think that's how I would have done it.
Cameron: Oh.
Cameron: Why is the battery dead?
Skylar: She just whispered, shh. No. Don't make me out to be some kind of monster.
Mikayla: Yeah.
Aaron: Or as, ah, the rat might say, you can see me.
Skylar: Oh, man, that reminds me, we gotta get, we gotta get the rack back in here. Forgot about the rack. Anyway, okay, so you guys head to is pretty much just right across the hall, to the DNA laboratory. And as you guys are just about to scan the keycard and head inside, you look down the hallway. Coming towards you is Admiral Asmund, and he looks upset. Oh, he's still a ways down. He's still ways down.
Aaron: So just, do we note, does he see that we notice him? Like, is it like.
Skylar: Oh, yeah, yeah. You look right at him. I mean, you guys walk out across the hallway and then see him stomping down the hallway.
Mikayla: I thought the things were pretty close together. That hatchery in the DNA place?
Skylar: Yeah, they were just right across the hall.
Cameron: Oh, sick.
Aaron: Oh, yeah.
Cameron: Scooby Doo, cross the hole.
Aaron: So we're just gonna, we're just gonna.
Skylar: Go without a key card.
Mikayla: But, like, can he, can we pretend.
Cameron: Like we don't see him? Just go to the next door and.
Aaron: Be like, oh, I was just gonna say, I'll tell you, I'll just put my hand over it, kinda let, us in.
Skylar: Oh, the key for the key card. Okay. Yeah, I mean, it opens, it unlocks.
Aaron: And then casually just walk in, act like I don't see him, and then go to the computer and take all the files that I need.
Skylar: Okay. All right.
Aaron: Along, with any paper, documents that I see, too.
Mikayla: As you're doing that, I'm going to look for the DNA temples.
Skylar: So you guys just kind of ignore.
Aaron: Yeah, we're just gonna. He can't get in there.
Skylar: Yeah, yeah, no, I just.
Aaron: Okay, so what, I'm going to the computer, picking up any research that I see along the way. That way, no one sees it.
Skylar: you just start picking up files, and you're just loading them into your.
Aaron: Backpack and then going over to the computers thinking, yeah, transfer, delete.
Skylar: Yeah. Okay. All right, sounds good. What about the rest of you guys?
Cameron: I'm kind of sneaking looks inside my.
Skylar: Backpack at the egg.
Cameron: I go over to where they might.
Skylar: Have, like, the DNA sequence.
Cameron: A DNA sequencing area, probably a cryogenic area.
Skylar: Yes, absolutely. And these, you kind of get the feeling that a lot of this runs off of some sort of emergency power system. because anytime you pull, like, anything out, it's, like, ice cold. Like, this hasn't been just, like, turned on when you guys turned on the electricity over in the rest of the island. This has its own power source. Could be pulling from solar. Whatever the case, it's, like, insured to be safe. Yeah, exactly. so you walk over and there are some, Gosh, I feel bad whenever I'm just like, oh, yeah, it's exactly like in Jurassic park. But all things considered, it would make.
Cameron: Sense if that's how it would be stored.
Skylar: Exactly. So you're, like, pulling these things out. There's kind of that hiss from the pressure release. there's some steam that kind of escapes, and there's various little vials with each having a label on them, like a little sticker label that shows what each of them, is associated with. Dinosaurs.
Cameron: Oh, dang it. I just realized Aspan's got my case.
Aaron: You want me to throw my first aid kit?
Cameron: First aid kit?
Skylar: That's true, he does.
Cameron: And it had my barbasol can in.
Skylar: It for when you have to, like, shave a spot before you do small surgery.
Cameron: Yeah. And then right next to the barbecue can was just like a tube that I was gonna toss these in.
Skylar: Right, right.
Cameron: Is there any sort of storage materials around?
Cameron: yeah, do me a go boxes.
Mikayla: I'll do that check, because me and Cameron are looking at that.
Skylar: Yeah. Okay, do a scavenge then.
Cameron: Cool. Do I do it? Do I see any, like, chinese takeout boxes?
Skylar: Oh, is that what you would put them in?
Cameron: Yeah, I mean, we are going to go with them, so, I mean, too.
Skylar: Bad it doesn't say you find exactly what you were looking for. I found a gap from what I'm m looking for chinese takeout boxes. I guess I got 1010. Okay, what'd you get, Cameron?
Cameron: An eight.
Skylar: Eight. Okay, so it says seven to nine. You find something handy, but you make a lot of noise. Yeah. Okay, so, yeah, you're rummaging through some things.
Cameron: I definitely knock over a cabinet.
Skylar: Yeah. Oh, wow. A whole cabin after it. Wow. All right.
Cameron: I really thought I could see a takeout box behind it, and I was really reaching.
Skylar: and as you are searching, you find some various snacks and food items.
Aaron: Okay, that's fine.
Cameron: Just start stuffing.
Skylar: Cause I know that that's what you.
Cameron: I'm gonna start stuffing my pockets.
Skylar: On the other hand, Mikayla, with a ten, you were able to find something useful. And you find, you find an actual, couple of. It looks like lunch bags, but they're the insulated ones, so they could, in theory, keep cold. And you also do find a freezer section. And inside you see a couple of those, like, just ice cube trays that are just full of ice cubes.
Aaron: No, ice cubes shaped in dinos.
Skylar: That's shaped in dinos of course, as everything should be, like ice bags.
Cameron: Like, not ice bags. Like, what are those cold.
Aaron: Like this?
Skylar: Yeah, like the ice packs. The cold packs.
Cameron: Ice packs. Yeah.
Skylar: You don't find any of those, but you do find a bunch of ice cubes.
Mikayla: Okay, well, I'm going to start packing a bag with the ice and, like, a vial from each subgroup.
Skylar: Yeah. Okay. And you're able to, like, maybe. Probably find some other, like, paper or something to wrap things so that they're not, like, clinking against each other, possibly breaking and such. So. Awesome. All right, perfect. So you guys, you've done it. You've at this point, secured some dinosaur DNA.
Cameron: Yeah.
Skylar: You do know that as part of kind of the contract, per se, the more that you were able to bring back, the more you would be rewarded. So you grab, like you said, a handful of different vials, and then therefore, you've kind of increased your payout.
Aaron: You guys got the vials? I got the files.
Cameron: Hey, there we go. It works out.
Skylar: Awesome. All right, now, before we.
Cameron: Before we. We take a run for it or whatever, we meet back up with Aspen. Did you want me to, like, check out those. The blood on your leg? Hey, you're fine.
Mikayla: Probably blood. Oh, yeah, look at that. I do have.
Cameron: You're fine. Probably. Why am I saying anything that's not my.
Aaron: Did I ever tell you the time I enlisted?
Skylar: Ah. we're finally gonna get somebody to tell us a story, which I've been neglecting this whole time.
Skylar: Okay.
Cameron: Blood.
Aaron: Vietnam flashback.
Skylar: Oh, there it is. So, okay, you guys have secured the DNA, and as you said, you know, there's dealing with Aspen or what? What is the plan going forward?
Mikayla: We probably need to get to the exit location.
Cameron: Do we not hear him just pounding on the door?
Skylar: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Cameron: Okay.
Cameron: That's what I was gonna assume that was happening.
Cameron: Hey, what is he that we were looking for? The bathrooms.
Skylar: Just don't.
Cameron: Oh, can you slip his key card back in his pocket?
Cameron: I can just throw it to him.
Cameron: but we could pretend like we found another card, then he doesn't think you stole.
Aaron: There you go.
Cameron: Cause you have another key card with a guy's name on it.
Cameron: Oh, look at that. It says his name on it.
Aaron: Yeah.
Cameron: So if you put. Put his key back in his pocket and just be like, oh, did you lose your. Oh, it's right there.
Cameron: You have a lot of faith in me.
Cameron: Do you want me to do it?
Cameron: I could just, like, hide it somewhere in this room.
Cameron: just toss it in the trash can. And we'll pretend like we were using our own. The one we found. You mean the one that's probably swan?
Cameron: We can use Ken's. Yeah, we found Ken's.
Aaron: We found Ken.
Mikayla: I don't know. If we have to throw it away, we can just hide it in one of our pockets. That way we have it.
Cameron: How would you know?
Skylar: I mean, we can always.
Aaron: What's that over there?
Skylar: Right, right.
Cameron: Distraction.
Skylar: Do distraction. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Cameron: I'm just gonna keep it on old trusty. I will hide it in one of my empty chip bags. I have.
Mikayla: I mean, that sounds silly. I've never left.
Cameron: What do you mean, a bad idea?
Cameron: Why would anyone open an empty bag?
Cameron: No one looks in an empty bag.
Mikayla: No, but. Oh, let's clear out my pockets for some full bags of chips. You're gonna throw it away?
Cameron: You bring up a great point. Because I was meaning to work on my storage systems. Left pockets, full bags. Right pockets, empty bags. Thank you.
Cameron: Why are you keeping your empties?
Cameron: Well, thank goodness I did. In this current situation, I was gonna.
Skylar: Say, well, you know, he's not somebody that litters.
Aaron: Oh, I can.
Cameron: Nothing to do with littering or anything. It's more that, there's dinosaurs they could follow, like, empty chip bags. It's like a. You heard of Hansel and Gretel? I don't. I've read that book.
Aaron: The vampire hunters.
Skylar: The vampire hunters.
Cameron: I read that book once, and I don't want to have a Hansel and Gretel situation.
Skylar: Joe.
Cameron: I don't want to be turned into a pie.
Cameron: That's the thing.
Cameron: You're scared of, being turned into a pie. Yeah. That sounds terrifying right now, actually.
Cameron: You almost got eaten by a dinosaur. Twice.
Cameron: Almost, as big.
Mikayla: The amazing thing is, we didn't.
Cameron: Yeah, we didn't.
Mikayla: We got. You're welcome for one of us. Something other people have never witnessed.
Cameron: Actually, strangely enough, I feel like you're welcome for both of us.
Cameron: I appreciate you. That's why I hired you on this team.
Cameron: My dad just dropped me off and said it's a scavenger, hun.
Aaron: Oh, well, close enough.
Cameron: Your dad sounds like a great dude.
Cameron: No.
Cameron: Have you just randomly dropped off at hospitals, too? Cause I think I recognize you, weirdly enough.
Cameron: Probably.
Cameron: Okay, that makes sense.
Skylar: that's how your dad got in contact with the doctor.
Cameron: That's probably how he knows who you are.
Skylar: Who's that quack that works downstairs? I'm gonna add him to my team quack question.
Cameron: I don't know if you were meant to be successful here. Just so you know.
Cameron: I'm always successful.
Cameron: Okay.
Aaron: Is the door for the lab that we're in, right?
Skylar: Yeah.
Aaron: Is that made out of glass?
Skylar: Yes.
Aaron: Is Aspen about to shoot the glass?
Skylar: he looks exacerbated.
Cameron: But wait, they can see into this lab?
Skylar: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Cameron: Really? Doing this in front of him?
Skylar: Well, no. I mean, he was coming down the hallway from quite a lot.
Cameron: Are labs typically, like, open to the public?
Skylar: Well, again, it's another one of those situations where they. It's kind of part of showing off to tourists, I don't guess.
Cameron: So.
Skylar: I mean, he would. At the very least, I think he would have gotten there just as you were finishing to pack up the lunch bags full of DNA. And he just kind of sees you guys wandering around. Or worse yet, standing around talking to each other, and every once in a while glancing over at him, like, what are we going to do? He looks kind of mad.
Aaron: Well, we can always act like we just. I got this. I got this. Okay, so he's knocking on the door, right?
Skylar: All right, we're going to go to glass.
Cameron: Don't matter.
Aaron: We're going to turn like.
Skylar: Oh, hey. Oh, hey.
Aaron: So we were passing by and we saw a bunch of dinos.
Skylar: Get out of there.
Cameron: You can't hear us.
Skylar: Get out of there right now.
Cameron: We're gonna have to open the door.
Skylar: Get out here.
Cameron: Let's just open the door.
Aaron: Let's just open the door. Trust me, we're gonna open the door.
Skylar: Okay? he pushes. He pushes it. As soon as you release the thing or whatever, he pushes himself in and he's like, what do you think?
Aaron: You guys aren't supposed to be here.
Skylar: This is one of the few areas that you guys do not have the clearance to be in.
Cameron: What do you.
Skylar: How dare you come in here?
Aaron: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Skylar: Oh. You better have a good explanation.
Mikayla: It's all for the documentary, man.
Skylar: This is gonna get cut from the dog guarantee.
Aaron: Why?
Cameron: it's open to the public.
Skylar: It is not open to the public. There's a window.
Cameron: There's a window.
Skylar: Okay.
Mikayla: It's not open to the public anymore because, you know, dinosaurs are all over the place.
Cameron: Didn't the dinosaurs eat all the public that was here?
Cameron: That's a good point.
Cameron: There's another one cut from the documentary.
Skylar: I have not.
Aaron: And listen up here.
Skylar: What?
Aaron: We were getting chased by these small dinos from the breeding room, and this is just. We found Ken Phillips key card and ran in here for safety. We're actually surprised you're still alive. So why don't you back off? and I step up to him, and. Ah.
Mikayla: Oh.
Skylar: Are you doing your move?
Aaron: Yes, I am.
Mikayla: Yes, I am.
Aaron: And say, why don't you back up and calm the heck down? We're all alive. Thank God. Since you went off on your own for some freaking reason, he went on.
Cameron: A little side quest.
Skylar: He takes a huff, and he decides to stand down because you gave him a pretty good reason. I think it's a reasonable excuse that you were chased by small dinosaurs. And he says, he's a gaslighter commanding officer.
Cameron: Yeah.
Skylar: He says, all right, fine, but we need to get out of here immediately. again, any footage you got in here I can guarantee you is going to be removed.
Cameron: What's up for the editing room?
Skylar: Oh, I can.
Cameron: That's not our job.
Aaron: M. But we did get some good footage, which is kind of.
Skylar: Oh, man, that's going to suck.
Aaron: Yeah. Oh, well.
Skylar: Yep, that's right. Let's go get footage elsewhere. All right. And then he leads you guys out.
Cameron: Of my boom mic case.
Skylar: Oh, yeah, please. I'm sick and tired of carrying this.
Cameron: I'm surprised carrying it this whole time.
Aaron: It's important they don't call me clutch for nothing.
Skylar: But to be honest with you, I question that importance because you haven't used the boom mic since, and that's kind of weird.
Cameron: What?
Skylar: You haven't used the boom mic at all.
Mikayla: We're just supposed to dub it, you know, speak over it.
Aaron: Don't worry. He's a voiceover to him for getting it. That's why on the side of my, camera, I have added a miniature to the laser. Laser sight.
Cameron: The directional mic.
Aaron: Directional mic. M for when he's like this. Cause sometimes, you know, he gets a little.
Skylar: What does this mean?
Cameron: Like this?
Aaron: Don't even start.
Skylar: If I were to make a suggestion, it sounds like this guy's not pulling his weight. Maybe get rid of it.
Cameron: That's the idea.
Aaron: He's mostly around for motivation and health support.
Skylar: Health support. Okay. He's the on hand, EMT staff member. Okay, fantastic.
Aaron: What are those motivational quotes? Go ahead, tell us one.
Cameron: to be one with the dino, you must learn to chomp your food.
Skylar: What the heck even is that?
Aaron: Very deep.
Cameron: That is. Yes. That is how it ends. Yes.
Skylar: Let's chomp, chomp your food.
Cameron: Very deep. I forgot that part of it.
Skylar: This is ridiculous. Okay, what do you guys need to see next? What's next on the agenda as far as footage that you need a patient, man.
Cameron: Wait, can we see the map?
Skylar: I'm being patient.
Aaron: Can we see the map now?
Skylar: Yeah.
Aaron: Okay, so I want to say we. I can't say we've gotten all the shots that we really need right now, I think. What was that? What was our full mission again?
Skylar: So it was just to get the DNA and then,
Mikayla: Get off the island?
Skylar: Yeah, get off the island, basically.
Cameron: So where's that? The helicopter pad?
Skylar: The h. That's where. Yeah, that's basically where you were told you could get.
Cameron: Hey, I think what the best part is, if we checked out, like, the northeast part of the island.
Skylar: Northeast? You mean up past the volcano?
Cameron: Well, isn't that north?
Skylar: Well, yeah, but I mean, yeah, I.
Cameron: Mean, couldn't we just say we want to get out of here?
Cameron: Yeah, let's leave.
Cameron: I mean, we have everything we need.
Skylar: Well, so, as I mentioned before. So, you guys do it the way that he thinks you are, which is you're a film documentary crew, right? You're gonna get taken to a place. They're going to process your footage, they're gonna process your equipment, and they're gonna process you here.
Mikayla: Well, I say we go through.
Skylar: It'll be off aisle. It'll be back at, like, a government facility, and they're gonna. They're gonna end up searching you guys, which obviously isn't gonna be.
Cameron: So that's why we need to get picked up.
Cameron: That's why we need to get rid.
Mikayla: Of him and refill up on gas.
Aaron: So then I have a look like.
Cameron: We have a lot of opportunities to do this.
Aaron: I have a question.
Cameron: So that was the idea, is we lose him in hq and then take off the back. But now he caught us again, so we're just gonna have to shove it.
Mikayla: But we, can just go to the hotel and resort, and we can probably find jeeps, cars, whatever, saw the golf course.
Aaron: I mean, I have a question.
Mikayla: We can lose them in the hotel, though.
Aaron: my phone call. Are we supposed to meet at the helicopter for that or where are we supposed to meet for that?
Skylar: You could do the phone call wherever it is that you wanted. and then that would basically tell the proprietor that, hey, we're ready for pickup in the next, however, amount of.
Aaron: We need to head to the resort, though. How close are we to dark?
Cameron: To be fair, it can land a lot of places.
Aaron: Okay, so can we make it to the resort where we could kind of bunk up in rooms for the night?
Skylar: Absolutely.
Mikayla: Well, and then we could get a car. I'm sure.
Aaron: There's cars there, vehicles away from Aspen.
Skylar: Sure. Yeah, that was, that's 100% possible.
Cameron: Where are the petco people?
Cameron: The petco people?
Skylar: Those are actually kind of not too far from the, in between. Between where the resort is and the hello pad. There's the north beaches, which are a little bit off trail for where you guys are going, but they wouldn't be far.
Aaron: Let's get to the resort, find a couple of rooms where we can bunk up for the night. Get away from Aspen. Right, Aspen. We need to get, we need, it's getting late. We can probably make it to a resort, right, where we probably lock up ourselves in a couple safe rooms.
Skylar: Yeah, absolutely. Well, yeah, I think the hotel, we can secure maybe a floor or something like that. But the hotel room should be pretty secure. I mean, gosh, the real, the real problem on this place, right, is like a t rex or some of the other, like, larger carnivorous ones. Right. And it's, that's not gonna, it's a pretty secure, that feels like. How many t rex?
Aaron: How many t rexes?
Skylar: Oh, that's a good question. I think there were three total. Three is what? Well, last I heard. I mean, how many triceratops?
Mikayla: Like three adults or like two?
Skylar: Three adults. Yeah. Yeah.
Cameron: Decided one of them was gonna be all by itself. That's nice.
Aaron: Why don't they, our golf carts, we still have enough gas to get to the resort, right? So let's get to the resort before it gets to.
Skylar: Yeah. All right. Sounds good. All right, so you guys, you know, you hop into what's left of the carts or maybe find new ones, probably more likely. I think the carts would probably be about dead at this point. But, you're able to find some sort of, more golf carts that are able to get you up. It's not even that far. Like, it's like 15 minutes, up to the resort, which is at the base of the volcano. At this point, dusk has mostly fallen. You guys managed to get inside the hotel facility. and, everything seems fairly quiet. The electricity is running through this part of the, facility as well.
Aaron: I'm going to hit my walkie talkie, see if there's anyone in the area with one.
Skylar: Okay. you hit the walkie talkie and you just get static for now. Yep. and you guys manage to find rooms and you get things situated. But as you guys are kind of getting situated for sleep, you start to hear a weird sound, just up the mountain, kind of off. There's like, kind of basically where the hot springs kind of would be. You do hear a sound emanating from that area that kind of like, brings down the mountain, rocks. And it kind of sounds like a strange low chanting.
Mikayla: What?
Aaron: Chanting? Yeah.
Skylar: Yeah, basically, yeah.
Cameron: There's ghosts outside, everybody.
Cameron: That's definitely ghosts.
Skylar: Anyone who takes a peek out their window, you will see that on kind of a mountain ledge, there's a large cave that kind of juts into the mountain. And it looks like there's a number of torches lit and possibly even some people. And they all seem to be doing some kind of chant or something.
Mikayla: I'm just gonna shut my door and ignore, go to bed.
Aaron: You know how old hotel rooms used to have the doors connecting through?
Skylar: Oh, yeah.
Aaron: Is that what we have type deal? And is aspen in like a separate room right on the other side? Are we all sharing?
Skylar: Like, I think Aslan would have to be in a room with at least like one. Like, if it's like two people to a room, he's gonna be in a room with somebody.
Aaron: All right.
Cameron: Can't, ah, just make him have his.
Skylar: He would want that.
Aaron: Let's.
Cameron: He's at a couch on the suite.
Aaron: Yeah, let's leave room with the kids so the adults can talk.
Skylar: wow. Consistently been thrown under the boss, Nate.
Cameron: I don't need to be in anymore.
Skylar: He looks at you as you guys are just sitting across from each other on, you know, the different beds. And he's like, so, what do you do for fun, kid?
Cameron: My dad puts me in some pretty weird situations. His training. He'll just, like, leave me places and I gotta. Gotta get home.
Skylar: He looks, he looks kind of shocked by this. And he says he always looks really.
Cameron: Mad when I make it home too.
Aaron: Usually the dad gets.
Skylar: That's, that's a lot to unpack. I'm gonna go to bed.
Cameron: Yeah, that's what most people say.
Skylar: And then that's kind of where you guys start to hear that chanting. So of course he's gonna go to the window and he's gonna be like, what the hell is going on up there? I see some torches and I see some people. Looks like people. Are those people? I just.
Cameron: I, stash my bag and push my bag underneath the bed, and I just crawl.
Skylar: Put one head or pillow over top of your ear so you can't hear it.
Cameron: Like, well, best of luck. All right, see you in the morning.
Aaron: So for us to get out of here.
Skylar: Oh, you're with the adults talking. Cut to the other room. Where the other three of you?
Aaron: For us to get out of here with DNA and our findings, we have to get rid of asthma. So how the heck are we gonna do this? Any bright ideas here, team? I mean, we just, like.
Skylar: We could just leave.
Aaron: Could ditch him.
Cameron: I'm just saying, if us three just woke up early and then just, like, left, he'd still be in his room. I m mean, bye bye, Jimmy.
Skylar: Again.
Mikayla: We can't just leave Jimmy. He's a child.
Cameron: He's with Esmen.
Aaron: I mean, fine, we can always just put him down. What?
Skylar: No.
Cameron: You're good at tasing people. How much juice you got left?
Mikayla: This is not.
Aaron: No, I mean leaving.
Mikayla: You mean tase as.
Cameron: Nothing to do with Jimmy.
Mikayla: Well, we were talking about Jimmy, and then you're like, we can put him down.
Cameron: That is true. You did say that.
Mikayla: Poor Jimmy. What do you do to you?
Aaron: If we take the, legit way back, right? We're not going to be able to keep what we found. What our end goal is supposed to be these samples and these files that we have. Yeah, so if we. It's going to be really hard to ditch him because he's going to be following us a lot more like a hawk with the fact that we escaped the laboratories on top of that. If we just leave him alone on this island, I mean, it might as well be putting a bullet in him.
Mikayla: Well, you guys can take Jimmy.
Cameron: Yeah, sure.
Mikayla: I'll go with Aspen and say, hey, we need to find some food on the road. You guys sneak out. I'll meet up with you guys later.
Cameron: Then you tase him. Yeah, you can just do that right away. Why would you need to do that?
Aaron: Plan.
Cameron: Just, like, when they're leaving their room in the morning, just stand to the side and they're just go, he's tased. And problem solved. Crisis.
Mikayla: Well, I figured I have to get him away from you guys, so just, like, he's a big man. What if the tase doesn't work and, Jimmy. We don't want him. We don't want him to catch.
Cameron: Catch on, give him the one. I think he's already catching on.
Mikayla: Yeah, but if he comes with me, what if we get more resources?
Cameron: I'm tired.
Aaron: What if he's not gonna let our deaths, and we just have one person go back with him, and then we camp out here for, like, a day or two, and then I call in a rescue with the samples and stuff that we have.
Cameron: Feels like a climbing event. Yeah.
Cameron: And Jimmy climbs the van. Jimmy. Wait till he hears Asman snoring, sneaks out.
Skylar: I have a feeling that would save.
Cameron: Us so much trouble if that's what you did.
Skylar: I have a strong feeling. Aspen is very much the soldier that sleeps with one eye open kind of type.
Mikayla: Especially if there's people chanting. He's not just gonna be like.
Skylar: If he's even able to sleep.
Aaron: We could leave right now, go find out what the chanting is. But then we'd be living, leaving the kid behind.
Mikayla: We can't just leave the kid behind.
Cameron: Are you watching out your window?
Skylar: Oh, yeah. Yeah. If you guys look out your window.
Cameron: Oh, I'm currently getting ready for bed.
Cameron: you actually want to go to sleep? Yeah, I was about to say, if you want to, you can see Jimmy climb out a window.
Skylar: Oh, you're climbing out the window.
Cameron: I said if that's the direction we're going, you don't have to worry about Jimmy. Yeah, yeah, we can make some things happen.
Skylar: Jimmy sees people leaving, he's gonna be like, oh, me too.
Cameron: Oh, sick.
Skylar: Yeah.
Mikayla: But isn't he under the bed?
Skylar: He's under a pillow.
Cameron: But, I mean, we'll figure something out.
Skylar: Yeah. It's no fun to separate one person from, everything going on narratively.
Cameron: We will find ourselves back together.
Skylar: Right?
Aaron: I mean, we can always go to the AV. What is it called?
Skylar: Aviary.
Aaron: Aviary. And hope that Aspen gets taken up by the terror.
Mikayla: The aviary is in a complete opposite direction.
Aaron: They're just giving us options. There's the ship over there, too. We could take.
Mikayla: Yeah, let's just go find the flying dinosaurs that can just pick us up.
Skylar: One by one right under the ship.
Aaron: I don't see you guys coming up with some ideas.
Mikayla: I say we just get some sleep. We've had a busy day running after dinosaurs. We, can recoup and maybe we'll come up with an idea by the morning. Fresh mine.
Skylar: No, they're not moving. It's all from the same spot.
Aaron: Can I see anything with, like, the, scope? The scope.
Skylar: yeah. Yeah. So you look through the scope on your camera.
Aaron: Do I see Jimmy Fallon?
Skylar: No.
Cameron: Do we see the rack? Dwayne? The rack racks it.
Skylar: Right. Right. I can't. I technically can't because the two people you met earlier are. We're unfamiliar with the fact that the rack was there. But who you do see are the two people from earlier. And they are all sitting around what looks like a camp site.
Cameron: This is survivor.
Skylar: It's literally they're voting off, voting off ceremony. Or is there a technical term for that?
Cameron: Tribal council.
Skylar: They're tribal council. And you see them. You see them sitting there and you see, like, there's a big campfire in the middle, and you see they're all, like, talking. Somebody has a little box that they're walking around, and everybody's putting a slip of paper into the box.
Mikayla: They go vote in private, but, yeah, they're making.
Aaron: I'm just gonna keep watching.
Cameron: There's also no chanting in survivor, but here we are.
Cameron: I would watch that season, actually.
Aaron: What?
Cameron: I would watch this season. This is a wild, like, maybe they threw the person into the fire.
Skylar: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, that's. That's what you might not never, ever.
Aaron: Get to find out about, other than that. They go into this. Around this fire there. I see them voting and stuff.
Skylar: Yep.
Aaron: Do I see what happens to the loser?
Cameron: Sure.
Skylar: We'll go into that. Okay. So you watch as they, they discuss. And the person with the box, you know, opens it up very dramatically, and everything seems very, like, slowly done. Like they're intentionally trying to make drama even though there's no cameras or anything there. ANd YoU see, you watch as they start taking out names, one name at a time. They open it up, they read it, they said it, and there's, like, a LiTtLE. Couple. Little piles that are, you know, starting to develop or whatever. And then finally they pull the last one out and they unfold it. And then they say a name, and you see one person just go, you know, the classic.
Mikayla: Is it doo buddy?
Skylar: Oh, yeah, yeah. No, that just makes sense. Thunder jaw. Yep, it is. It just makes sense. You see thunderjaw, he kind of puts his hands on his. On his eyes. He must be Tearing up or whatever. He stands up everybody. You know, a couple people pat him on the back or whatever. And Then you watch as he walks over to the cave, and he turns around and kind of, like the freaking Truman show. He just, like, kind of waves to everybody, and then he goes into the cave.
Cameron: I've seen this one.
Mikayla: Eaten by the dinosaur to be sent off the island.
Cameron: I like this.
Cameron: Where are you going?
Cameron: Into the cave?
Aaron: Into the volcano. They're on the volcano, right?
Skylar: Ah, there on the volcano.
Aaron: Nice.
Cameron: He gets an old. He gets a nice little sauna.
Skylar: Sure.
Cameron: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mikayla: He's being quote unquote eaten by the dinosaurs.
Cameron: Sure, yeah.
Skylar: Oh, yeah.
Mikayla: You know, the real blood and bits of skin left over is not going to bed.
Skylar: Okay, sounds good. Is everybody going to bed at this point? Okay, awesome.
Mikayla: All right, well, does he say his findings. Anyway, he's the one who saw this, right? Yeah, with the scope. Are you going to say anything to anybody?
Aaron: I'll look at you and say there's some weird.
Mikayla: So maybe avoid them, is what you're saying.
Aaron: Yeah. Avoid the cult.
Skylar: Sure.

Mikayla: Okay. Yeah. Go to bed.
Skylar: All right.
Aaron: Not safe.
Skylar: You all go to bed and you wake up the next morning, you feel a little bit refreshed, maybe a little sore from just all the walking and everything today. maybe you might even wake up a little bit, totally forgetting that you were on the island, thinking maybe it was all a dream. But as you wake up and you see the familiar, dinosaur themed hotel, room that you're in, you realize, oh, it wasn't a dream, but at least I'm in a hotel room that's got dinosaurs.
Mikayla: Yeah. I could get used to this.
Skylar: There you go. And, as you wake up, you hear, conveniently enough, a, bang at your door and you hear. This is Admiral Aspen. Wake up. It's time to get moving. I heard that.
Aaron: I'm taking a shower. Is the hot water still on?
Skylar: No, it'd be kind of cold. Oh, no, it'd be like, lukewarm. Yeah, let's say lukewarm. You know what? Maybe there would be a little bit of hot since you're literally on a volcano. There's probably a lot of, thermal energy that you guys kind of. They've harvested. Whatever the case, you guys are awake. it's morning. What are we. What are you doing?
Aaron: Is there a breakfast pan, sir? The breakfast buffet open?
Cameron: No.
Skylar: You go down to, like, the. There's no, What, the continental buffet breakfast or anything like that. I think you might be able to scavenge up a couple of things here and there as far as five star hotel. Is this well, I can tell you there's nothing fresh. So anything that you would be able to eat was pantry related.
Mikayla: Bagels, muffins.
Skylar: Yeah, maybe. As long as they haven't got more cereal. Yeah, I'd say you probably are able. Definitely cereal. Yeah. Two weeks, you'd be.
Mikayla: It'd be on the. Probably be okay.
Cameron: Pretty safe, dry cereal.
Mikayla: I mean, it might be. Might be past the best bite, but eating chips.
Cameron: Yeah, it's chips. I have chips.
Skylar: Yep. Yep. Or crackers.
Cameron: Left pocket.
Skylar: Yeah, there you go. And that's where you guys are at. What is the plan?
Cameron: Hop, in a car.
Mikayla: Is Jimmy by us yet?
Cameron: Yeah, let's just hop in a car.
Skylar: It's got a nice big bowl of.
Cameron: All four of us sugary cereal available. And Aspen just gets in another car.
Mikayla: Jimmy needs a booster seat. That takes a while.
Cameron: These ten.
Cameron: Getting a little overprotective.
Mikayla: I'm just saying. Then, you know, there's no room for Aspen.
Cameron: Jimmy, she wanted to abandon you last night, bro.
Aaron: I believe.
Cameron: I don't think I believe you.
Mikayla: I'm just saying, if we.
Cameron: She's probably the one that wouldn't.
Cameron: I. Yeah, that's true.
Aaron: You're just a child. You wouldn't understand.
Mikayla: We just gotta pick, like, the smallest car where he wouldn't fit, you know?
Skylar: All right, everybody.
Cameron: Yeah, I wanna go in that.
Skylar: Where are we off to today for filming? Yeah, you've got today and tomorrow, and then we gotta get off this island.
Cameron: What happens then?
Skylar: Well, that you guys have been allotted three days for filming.
Cameron: We're on day two.
Cameron: I can count things.
Mikayla: I can count to at least two.
Cameron: Do I know, like, I'm in the fifth grade.
Aaron: Does it look empty now where they were voting and everything?
Skylar: there's still, like, their stuff is there, like, you can still see, like, the makeshift tiki torches and stuff? but, yeah, all the people are gone. Okay.
Aaron: I want to go and see if I can see what happened to what's his name.
Skylar: Okay. it's like, a little bit of a walk up to that cave Mountain, but it's. I mean, it's not, like, super far. It's.
Aaron: You know, technically, I recorded them.
Mikayla: What? As men. Really?
Skylar: He would say. Oh, yeah, those are the, thermal cave tours. Yeah, sure. That's actually a pretty solid spot to go. And. And, yeah, do some. Some filming. You'll get to see. They got, like, some fossil stuff in there on the walls. It's kind of cool looking. bones and stuff.
Aaron: Let's go in there for a little bit.
Skylar: All right.
Mikayla: What? I'm not going in the cave.
Aaron: You're fine. I'll go in with Aspen.
Skylar: All right. It's just you and Aspen.
Cameron: Oh, wait. Outside. That's fine. I didn't.
Aaron: Are you coming? Get over the thermal.
Cameron: I don't trust you at all.
Skylar: All right, so you and Asm go, in there with the camera, and you, guys are walking through, and sure enough, it's got, like, this cool glow. So, like, there's open pockets that kind of. They're smaller pockets, but they have, like, kind of time out, kind of see through. Yeah.
Mikayla: Don't I have to go in if I'm, like, the director person?
Aaron: Technically, you could have Aspen's military guy for the shot walk through.
Cameron: Sure.
Mikayla: I mean, if he doesn't question it.
Skylar: Then it's up to you. As Skyler, the media guy, you could theoretically say, oh, we're just getting b roll. So it's really just for the camera guy to go in and, like, you know, get some footage. But it depends. I mean, you've already kind of established that apparently you're going to dub over.
Mikayla: So well, and, I mean, I don't just want to go in because I know what dinosaurs could be in caves like that.
Skylar: Sure, sure.
Aaron: The guy with the Ar camera and the other guy with the guns going in.
Skylar: Sure. but whatever the case.
Cameron: Yeah.
Skylar: You guys go in, and there's a whole bunch of. Yeah, like, fossils and stuff that are, like, inlaid in the walls. It's kind of a whole. Cool.
Aaron: Is it fairly well lit? Yeah.
Skylar: oh.
Cameron: Yeah.
Skylar: So, oh, and that's kind of what I was getting at. So there's sort of, like, sections or holes in the walls that kind of let this sort of, like, lava glow that comes from kind of deeper down in the volcano flood through. So it illuminates the walls, but there's also, like, just some normal cave lights that kind of stretch along here.
Skylar: M so that's what your situation is. You're going along, you're just, like I said, you're just getting, getting some footage and Jimmy Fallon body yet? No, I have where Jimmy Fallon is. I don't know if you guys are gonna get there.
Aaron: No, he's just chilling on the golf course, teeing off of a T Rex.
Skylar: Teeing off with. All right, so what are you doing?
Aaron: Footprints are, ah, there. The footprints from the night before, from what's his name, the thunder guy?
Skylar: Not so much footprints. Just because it's like a rocky floor. It's not so much like dust.
Aaron: we're gonna just keep slowly going.
Skylar: Down further and further in. Okay.
Aaron: but if I hear or like, sure. I'm ready to dip. And leave Aspen behind.
Skylar: Yeah, no, I get you. I, would say that after a short while, you see more bones. these ones littering the floor of the cavern. Human, potentially. And amidst them, you do see a very dead thad. Thunderjaw.
Aaron: How decayed are some of these other bodies?
Skylar: Not. Not super decayed so much as they look like maybe they've been picked clean.
Aaron: We're gonna just slowly.
Skylar: Yeah. Aspen sees this and he goes, I don't think we should be here. I agree. I think we should leave.
Aaron: Let's go quietly, but also. But also quickly.
Skylar: And you guys turn around and you start to make your way back out of this cave.
Aaron: Yeah. Thunder.
Skylar: Thunder voted off the island that he was all right. Something. Yeah, definitely. All right, so you guys come out of the cave.
Aaron: I'll look at Aspen. I'd be like, there must be something big down there.
Skylar: Oh, yeah. Something big down there for sure. Something I don't want to mess with.
Aaron: I hope that chart.
Skylar: I'm gonna have to file this in a report when I get back.
Aaron: I'm gonna have. I hope this makes sense to the documentary.
Skylar: Oh, yeah, maybe not that ending piece.
Aaron: All right, guys, we're ready to move out.
Cameron: All right, everybody.
Skylar: Where are we headed?
Aaron: Paleontologist. Director. Where are we going?
Skylar: Which part of the island next? I assume you guys don't really care much about the golf. Oh, you guys want to go north?
Aaron: What did we see up there?
Skylar: That was where the people with the cabins and stuff are. Yeah. All right, you guys head north.
Aaron: And diems, plan.
Skylar: You guys are kind of like. You sort of follow a path that leads off, alongside the volcanoes, like rocky ledge. So you actually come out to a spot where you are overlooking this entire beach with a sort of like a tribal setup on it. And sure enough, you see a variety of people all wearing shirts that. Very similarly to the guy that you saw in the footage cutting the wires. all say pet cop on them. And they're all walking around, they're mingling. You even see them hanging out with, like, there's a couple of, like, herbivore dinosaurs that seem to, like trying to, like, integrate them into their society, not as pets and not as work animals, but just kind of living alongside.
Mikayla: Them to live amongst.
Skylar: Exactly.
Mikayla: He won with a dinos.
Skylar: And as you guys are watching, you see one individual, there's like a little stage.
Aaron: Gosh, am I right?
Skylar: You. There's a little stage. And sure enough, Jimmy Fallon walks up on the stage, he says, hey, guys. Hey, how great is it that, we get to, you know, live alongside these dinosaurs? Hey, right on. So, hey, downside, though. Bit of bad news. You know, not the greatest stuff in the world, but, like, hey, there's apparently some people on this island, and I, heard word from, some of our, scavengers and stuff like that. You know, these guys are goofing around. They got cameras. I mean, like, I haven't seen a camera since, you know, back at the studio. But whatever the case, you know, we can't, obviously, have them doing whatever they're doing and then taking that footage back. You know what's gonna happen when everybody finds out about dinosaurs on this island? They're gonna want to take the dinosaurs on the island, and that's obviously pretty against our policy here.
Aaron: Of course, Jimmy founds the mastermind.
Skylar: So here's what we're gonna do. we're gonna find these guys, and we're gonna do what we have to do, which is what we've been doing, and we're gonna get rid of this problem, known as humans. And then we're gonna be happy. We're gonna have a good time with the dinosaurs around here, you know, just like we have been.
Aaron: We see the rack with.
Skylar: You don't see the rack.
Cameron: We're just at the back of this.
Skylar: Crowd, like, way up, on, like, an overlooking thing. And you're hearing his whole little speech.
Aaron: Warp here, his aspen look, like he's about to take the shot.
Skylar: Yeah, he does. You see his hand kind of itch, shaking as it reaches for his pistol, though.
Aaron: I'm gonna lean over to him and say, do you fragrance?
Mikayla: Jeez.
Skylar: No, I wasn't really planning on having to use explosives.
Aaron: I mean, right now would be a good time. They're gonna either come at us now, or they're gonna come at us later.
Skylar: Wow.
Cameron: Maybe we should keep driving, guys.
Mikayla: Yeah, I agree. I agree.
Skylar: If anything, if I get back to base, I'll tell them what's going on here. We can just blow up this entire island from the water where it's safe.
Mikayla: No, we're not blowing up, guys.
Skylar: No, no, just this.
Aaron: This beach with the eco.
Skylar: They're not supposed to be here. Yeah, they're eco terrorists. They got people killed.
Mikayla: They have dinosaurs with them. You're gonna kill the dinosaurs among the.
Skylar: I mean, I don't know. I guess we could come up. I don't know. I'll talk to the executives. They'll decide. But whatever the case, this group needs to be dealt with. I mean, yeah, not by us. We can, we can move on with our filming. What's that? Are we still. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Cameron: Hey, guys, the longer we wait, the more likely they are to see us.
Aaron: yeah, let's get out of here.
Cameron: Start driving.
Mikayla: Yeah, just maybe.
Cameron: I don't know. I know, I'm just.
Aaron: Do I see a t rex at any point?
Skylar: Yeah, just keep an eye out for that. You don't currently, but bait.
Aaron: Yeah, bait towards the camp.
Skylar: whatever the case, you guys climb into your car. You go back down the pathway of the mountain, back kind of past the resort. and then you hop onto the golf course to head towards the northern side of the island where you know that the helipad is. And as you guys are making your way across the golf course, you see from a distance several pet cop members with golf carts.
Aaron: Oh, God, here he is.
Mikayla: It's fine. We'll outrun them.
Skylar: you guys have like a jeep? Sure. It's probably an electric jeep.
Mikayla: We can go faster than a golf cart. Can we?
Skylar: Yeah, just stuff on it.
Aaron: Also, you are the DM here.
Mikayla: but, but wait, who's, who's, who's driving? Did we ever establish that it's probably Aspen?
Skylar: The rack, just like, hey, guys, I've been here the whole time. No, yeah, sure. Aspen can be driving. Yeah, I think that's probably for the best. Yeah, makes the most sense. So Aspen's driving. He sees them and he's like, of course, of course, of course, of course. They're gonna come after us right now. and they know that we're here. That's not good for the filming.
Cameron: Did they see it?
Cameron: They didn't see us driving away.
Skylar: Not driving away, but they see you now that you guys are like, head the golf cart.
Mikayla: There's some on the golf cart.
Aaron: They're just chilling, hitting golf ball. Get them.
Skylar: They start swinging.
Cameron: Really environmentally conscious.
Skylar: I know, right? Well, it's hard to hear, you know. so, they're chasing after you. And he's like, well, this isn't. Obviously, we're going to have to get rid of these guys because otherwise, how are you guys going to be able to film?
Cameron: We could do this if they're chasing us.
Skylar: Well, I feel like they're going to follow us for quite a ways.
Mikayla: Well, we can go faster, most likely. Just step on it. It's like we have to follow speed limits or anything.
Skylar: All right. I mean, I guess I can try to lose him.
Cameron: Maybe drive like a grown up.
Skylar: Just slams off driving one more. No. okay, so he starts driving a little bit faster, and then as you guys are being driven down as fast as possible out of the woods,
Aaron: The rack comes to riding.
Skylar: I was just going to say Jimmy found himself. Comes out riding the tyrann, a tyrannosaurus rex they have apparently teamed. He has a full on little thing that he's made so that he can sit atop it, and he is chasing after you guys.
Aaron: Let's go. Jimmy Fallon riding a t Rex.
Cameron: That's a picture.
Skylar: That is a picture.
Cameron: That's one for my bingo board.
Skylar: I never thought I'd get this one. You guys are in the, jeep. You guys are actively being pursued by not only a couple of golf carts that are trailing a ways behind, but also Jimmy Fallon riding on a Tyrannosaurus rack.
Aaron: Well, Ashman, I guess it's time that you figure out, what this camera actually is. I'm gonna puff.
Skylar: What are you talking about?
Aaron: I'm gonna puff some shots at Jimmy.
Skylar: You just start. You pull. There's, like, a little record button, but it's like a trigger for some reason. Record trigger. All right, so are you doing fight, or are you doing your big move?
Aaron: Out of curiosity, what's my big move?
Skylar: That one that you started with the killer you killed. It's up to you. Or you can just do.
Aaron: Oh, you get on a miss, you get mauled immediately. Make the casual.
Skylar: It's a risky move. Yeah, what would you. What are you doing with that?
Mikayla: Well, one of my questions is I can see what its weakness is.
Skylar: Oh, okay. Yeah, go for it. Do you do something or do you just get it? I don't know if you have to roll or not.
Mikayla: I have to roll. So when I draw my knowledge to deal with a real life dinosaur, I roll. Plus clever. On a hit, I might identify. I'm able to identify species, sex, and whether it's herbivore, carnivore. Obviously, we know most of that. Doesn't matter if it's a male or female.
Skylar: So you're able to get a look into the.
Mikayla: And then I can ask on a ten. Plus I can ask three questions. On, a seven to nine, I can ask one.
Skylar: Got it. Okay. Yeah, go for it.
Cameron: 1111.
Skylar: Wow. That's a big success. Wow.
Mikayla: I'm doing good this year.
Skylar: I was gonna say you've been rolling really well. Awesome. All right. Yeah. What are your questions.
Mikayla: Oh, I get three. Okay. I'm gonna say. So the questions I can ask are, what if it's. What is its drive? What are its moves? What size pack does it travel in? What is its weakness? Yes, I'll ask one. What is its weakness?
Skylar: Okay. One of its weaknesses. I would say that you see that the strap that he's using to keep himself on this tyrannosaurus rex is very, kind of makeshift, and it looks very weak. If someone were to hit that, like, pretty much anywhere, as long as you directly hit this, the saddle, basically that he's made, the whole thing would just come off. I mean, he's practically holding on himself, but this is, like, just helping to steady him, essentially. So that's where you're at with that. That would be a big weakness.
Mikayla: Okay, my other question is, I think they're stupid, but I can't use my lizard brain because I'm in a car. And what noise for body language am, I going to use for a t rex? Honestly, m.
Cameron: That works.
Mikayla: I could use lizard brain instead of asking one of my three questions.
Skylar: Oh, okay. Okay.
Aaron: I was hoping there was, like, a bad edit of Jimmy Fallon riding a t rex on the Internet somewhere.
Skylar: what if you do? You could theoretically make a noise, given your study of dinosaurs, to sort of replicate another t rex sound or something like that.
Mikayla: But me, as a human being, would I actually be able to make a dinosaur noise?
Skylar: I feel like, or maybe you have something with maybe.
Mikayla: I mean, I have a basic excavation tool.
Skylar: Here's what I would say. You grab some bones on the first episode, you grab some bones off the triceratops, some, dinosaurs. It's part of their bone structure that allows them to make some of the noise that you have. Or they do.
Aaron: I don't know if I.
Skylar: Theory. I think it might have, I don't know. In theory, you could blow into this strange skull like piece fragment and make the sound of a triceratops. I think that's a fair assumption.
Mikayla: I mean, sure, we can go with.
Skylar: That if that's what you want to do.
Mikayla: But my other. I'll ask my other question, and then we can do the other thing. My other question would be, whatever. What are its moves?
Skylar: Moves. Okay. Ah, so you see two things. First of all, obviously, Tyrannosaurus could stomp. Could, even use its tail to, like, slam into something if it got close enough. and then, of course, could lean down and bite into something. I would also add that Jimmy Fallon writing on this is part of the Tyrannosaurus itself. And you can see that he has like a bow and arrow situ. Very makeshift bow and arrow situation kind of strapped to his back. So those would be the available moves that this, as a unit could do.
Mikayla: Okay. So I want him to make him empathetic. Right.
Skylar: Okay.
Mikayla: Whatever that word is. And so I'm going to try to mimic m a baby t rex sound based off of what knowledge that you have.
Skylar: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Okay.
Mikayla: So, like, it's probably like, I don't know, more of like a elk or something. I don't know.
Skylar: So, yeah, absolutely. You make this sound, you kind of cast your voice in such a way, over the sound of the jeep. Surprisingly.
Cameron: It'S a loud baby.
Mikayla: I told him to slow down.
Skylar: You know what I said?
Mikayla: It's electric. You know, there's quiet.
Skylar: Absolutely. It's an electric. And the t rex seems to notice this. And it starts to slow down a little bit. Looking around, trying to find this and that guy that affords you guys a bit of ability to get ahead.
Cameron: Shot.
Skylar: No, just get ahead driving wise.
Mikayla: He's got.
Skylar: Unless someone's taking a shot. But I'll leave.
Aaron: I'm really worried because, like.
Mikayla: The shoulder straps, the saddle straps. he also has a bone arrow, which probably isn't going to be that useful for energy.
Aaron: I mean, I thinking I could just kill him and the dinosaur here.
Skylar: Now, to clarify, you could just have a regular fight. So that's up to you. Totally up to you. But anyway, is anyone else doing anything? As you guys are starting to gain some ground away from this tyrannosaurus, I'd.
Aaron: Have plus two if I do kill or be killed.
Cameron: Boy, this is a. This, you know, this is really stressful.
Skylar: Yeah.
Cameron: How you doing, Jimmy? Okay, I'm gonna risk it.
Aaron: Cause if the downside is I fall out of the car and die.
Skylar: Yeah.
Cameron: Yeah, probably.
Skylar: Yeah.
Cameron: You leaned a little too far out.
Aaron: Oh, God. Okay.
Mikayla: Yeah.
Aaron: Wait. No, we're good. Cause I get plus two. Thank God. Six.
Skylar: So what do you got?
Aaron: I have eight plus 1010 total. Yeah.
Skylar: And you needed a ten in order to succeed, right?
Aaron: I need to, straighten on a seven to nine, you use too much ammo and you're empty. That's all it says.
Cameron: On a tenza, you got a tenzo.
Aaron: So I don't use all my ammo. All right.
Skylar: All right. Sounds good. So you take some precision shots. Boom, boom, boom, boom. You fire all of them. are you aiming? Let's say you're aiming for the t rex. Cause I feel like the last thing that I want to be on this podcast transcript that people can find is I killed Jimmy.
Cameron: Exactly.
Cameron: We're gonna lovingly describe how we execute.
Skylar: Yeah, I feel like that might look bad. And we're gonna get a nasty call from his lawyers. No. but you fire, and you hit the t rex, and you, right in the leg, and the whole thing just kind of topples over. You see Jimmy Fallon just get kind of thrown right off his saddle, getting into the dirt. Pretty much. Yeah. So. And then you guys just speed away, obviously. his two cronies that he had in golf, carts just kind of pull over to help him, so on and so forth. but as you guys pull away off into the distance, and you guys are headed towards the helipad. Aspen. Admiral Aspen turns to you guys. He says, what in the hell is going on? Why do you have a gun in that camera? what is going on? Who are you people? You're not a film crew.
Mikayla: Clearly we are. I mean, what do you think we're doing?
Skylar: I just. He has a gun in that. It's not even a camera.
Mikayla: Island with dinosaurs.
Aaron: What are you, helicopter spot you're nearing?
Cameron: Oh, I'm gonna do the only thing I've done this whole time. I have my first aid kit. I pull up my. What's it called? no, what's it called? That, hydro codon.
Mikayla: Yeah.
Cameron: Knocks people out. Yeah.
Mikayla: That's a pain.
Cameron: What's the thing that knocks people out? Yeah, I bought chloroform on a rag and just stick it on his face because I'm right behind him.
Mikayla: Would you have that in a basic med kit?
Cameron: Sure, I would.
Cameron: I don't think my character would 100%, knowing my characteristics, need somebody else to go to sleep.
Skylar: So you know my character.
Cameron: He knows I would have it.
Skylar: I'm 100% cool with it. I need you to do a hold onto your butt.
Mikayla: Hold on to your butt.
Cameron: seven, nine.
Skylar: Okay. You exceed, but you're exhausted. You're gonna take minus one next. Roll with five, which you usually don't do too much of anyways. Whatever the case, as. As Admiral Aspen, you put this little clock with some chloroform over his face. What?
Cameron: Isn't he driving?
Cameron: Oh, yeah, that was fine.
Skylar: That's what I was gonna get to next. and then all of a sudden, nobody is driving the car, but it is still going very fast.
Mikayla: Who's sitting next to him?
Cameron: I'd be directly behind. I'd be like in the middle.
Skylar: Okay. Yeah.
Mikayla: You would be in the back, I assume. I'd probably be in the back.
Aaron: I'm shooting.
Cameron: You were shooting.
Cameron: You're directly behind him. You being shot?
Skylar: I couldn't get you.
Mikayla: I figured I'd be in the back.
Cameron: I could lean forward and grab that.
Cameron: mean I'm left in shotgun.
Cameron: No, no, you're between.
Cameron: Behind.
Cameron: Yeah.
Mikayla: Well, if you're in the middle, you.
Skylar: Have the most access to jump.
Cameron: Yes.
Mikayla: He's in the passenger seat. What?
Skylar: Finally, a moment where I, the GM, get to say, this is not something a kid would do for sure you need to roll for. Just do it, Tony. Stop this car from crashing. And how do you think he got.
Cameron: Back home all the time? Joke time.
Skylar: You just asked strangers for Ryan.
Cameron: what role was it?
Skylar: Oh, sorry. Just do it. Yeah. plus steady.
Cameron: Oh, that's a negative one. But that's eight total. Eight total.
Skylar: So seven to nine, you slipped, hesitated, cut corners. you get a hard choice. Okay.
Cameron: so I'm across his body, hands on the. I can't touch the pedals, so I can't stop it.
Mikayla: But you're directing it, so we're not hitting trees.
Skylar: At the very least, that's pretty important. Okay, so here's the choice that you have. you know that to get. You're gonna have to get control of this vehicle. And your arms are too short to reach from behind and grab the steering wheel. So you're going to have to jump over there and grab the steering wheel.
Cameron: But I'm already fully extended out on the steering wheel.
Skylar: Yep, exactly. in order to get up there, what could possibly.
Cameron: I got something for this.
Skylar: Oh, okay.
Cameron: Yeah, yeah.
Skylar: Okay, I'll do that. Yeah.
Cameron: I see a curve up ahead. I can't reach the e brake in between us. Okay, I'm going to yell for help. And I need someone to grab the e brake. I tell him to.
Mikayla: Well, you're in the past, aren't you?
Aaron: I got it.
Cameron: We're going to drift this thing.
Aaron: So what do I need? What do I need to roll here? Do I need to roll?
Cameron: Well, I. Since you're helping me, when you put my needs ahead of your own safety, including response to me calling for help. Any role you make is improved by one level, so you're going to need to roll. Whatever.
Skylar: It'll probably be a. Just do it.
Aaron: Perfect. I get a plus.
Skylar: So you'll have plus three total, which is good.
Cameron: Really? Plus two. Plus you can't fail.
Skylar: Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're right, you're right. So if you got a seven to nine, it becomes an automatic fail. Then it becomes a seven to nine.
Aaron: Oh, wait, no, that's fine, because I have plus three, nine plus two, and plus two.
Cameron: Oh.
Skylar: but still, that's what goes out, too. So it's an automatic success. So it's good. Okay, so you reach forward, you grab that break just as he says, pull it, and you pull it. And the whole car just drifts across this curve.
Cameron: See us, like, drifting and decelerate, decelerate, decelerate.
Skylar: Stop, stop.
Aaron: We were talking about Tokyo drift earlier. That is true.
Cameron: That's where the inspiration came from.
Skylar: That's right. That's right. Whoo.
Cameron: Let it go, Jimmy.
Mikayla: T. Rex is still coming out. No, he killed T Rex.
Cameron: It hurt its leg.
Mikayla: Okay.
Cameron: It can't run.
Aaron: You're welcome.
Skylar: All right, so you guys can see.
Aaron: This reminds me of a war story up above.
Skylar: there's probably, like, a short path, and then you go up some stairs, and then you would arrive at the helipad.
Aaron: All right, so someone please get this.
Cameron: Door open so I can get out of here.
Cameron: Yeah, sure.
Aaron: Yeah.
Cameron: Conscious person.
Skylar: Yes. Yeah.
Aaron: sure.
Mikayla: Yeah. So we'll get out.
Aaron: We're at the helipad.
Skylar: Yes.
Aaron: I need anything Dino related, gun pointed at you guys.
Skylar: What?
Aaron: Can't let this anything information wise, get out. I'm sorry. No, I mean, I'm threatening you with physical violence.
Mikayla: Absolutely.
Cameron: What are the options here with threats of physical violence?
Aaron: you either do as I say or you take an injury of my choice.
Cameron: Wow. It's incredibly powerful.
Mikayla: Can I fight?
Skylar: yeah.
Mikayla: So, miss.
Cameron: So we've gotten up to just to frame this. We got out of the car, we grabbed our stuff. We started up to the helipad. We've called the helicopter.
Aaron: technically, we have not called the helicopter either.
Mikayla: Well, I'm still gonna fight.
Skylar: All right. Sounds good. What are you doing?
Mikayla: so I'm gonna use my taser. I'm gonna try and tase him. Okay.
Skylar: Gonna do the stun gun.
Mikayla: Oh, I can do this. I can do that. Yeah, I'll do that. I'll shoot him with.
Aaron: You're gonna take an injury of my choice then.
Skylar: First, that she technically. True. Yes.
Cameron: Probably shoot her.
Skylar: Head when you would.
Cameron: Take her out of commission.
Aaron: Yeah.
Skylar: Or unless she wants to do the final heroic act.
Mikayla: What's that?
Skylar: See, that's what it is. You get one final heroic act and then you die.
Cameron: Or you can just be put off.
Cameron: I'm not trying.
Aaron: I'm gonna be. I'm not trying to be mean. I just can't let this information.
Cameron: Wait, what do we actually have?
Aaron: I gotta do what I've been doing.
Cameron: I got nothing, so I do not care.
Mikayla: Actually, what do I have? For what?
Cameron: Dino stuff.
Mikayla: I have all the DNA. Yeah, that was our goal.
Aaron: I can't let some of this stuff get out. It's part of my mission.
Mikayla: Why were you collecting it then? You could have just left it on the island.
Aaron: For reasons that I cannot disclose.
Mikayla: What if you don't want it to get out, why did you collect it at all? Because it could have been left on the island where there's dinosaurs and hippies.
Aaron: Listen, the buyers wanted it, and I can't. Buyers in the government wanted it. That's why they hired me.
Cameron: What do you want but this.
Mikayla: DNA in the wrong hands when you want it.
Skylar: Wow.
Cameron: You want dinosaur related stuff.
Mikayla: Okay, here. I'm going to throw the bag at Doobuddy. So I'm going to be, listening to what he says, but I'm gonna throw it in such a way in hopes that it just crashes on the ground and most of it will break.
Skylar: Oh, so you throw it just shy of his wreath.
Mikayla: Yeah.
Skylar: Okay. What are you doing?
Cameron: I'm really attacking him.
Cameron: So I don't know if you take an injury for that.
Skylar: Right.
Mikayla: I would. I would say I'm not.
Skylar: Yep.
Aaron: Ordered.
Skylar: Are you gonna.
Aaron: How are you, like, yeeting this up into the. Or just chucking it out?
Mikayla: I'm chucking it in your direction, but aiming it short, short of you. So it falls to the ground. Yeah.
Aaron: All right. How protective are these bags?
Mikayla: well, he said it was basically like a lunch bag. There's ice in it and there's maybe paper around it if they fell.
Cameron: Yeah, maybe a couple would survive, but.
Skylar: Yeah. Or maybe a couple with braids. Depends. I don't know how many, technically, you grabbed, but I would say I grabbed six.
Cameron: Maybe a rage dinosaur on the paleontologist.
Mikayla: Well, that's what I said. I grabbed different vials for each one.
Skylar: Yeah.
Aaron: I'm trying to think of this.
Mikayla: How so they all might not break, but I'm hoping most of them, because I don't want all the DNA because they can make some monstrosity monster with this information.
Skylar: I think the real question here is, Aaron, are you going to try to catch the thing which would allow you, or which would honestly lower your guard as far as the gun goes?
Aaron: Well, I was.
Skylar: Let it hit the ground.
Aaron: I was gonna say, am I gonna video game this where I have, like, one, you know, like this hand it over type deal. So I take. I can try to catch it with the one hand.
Skylar: Well, I think the concept here is that it's gonna be just outside of your reach. You won't just be able to just. Yeah, you're gonna have to, like, dive a little bit.
Aaron: I think I'm gonna have to risk it and just let it drop. Cause if I try to catch it.
Mikayla: Okay, that allows somebody else to try, and I'll be disarm you.
Aaron: So I'd rather just have it fall, risk the fact that DNA might break and just hope that the files and whatever's left can be worked on later on.
Mikayla: Okay.
Skylar: Okay, sounds good. All right, so, sure enough, the bag hits the ground. You hear some crinkling as glass. Some of the glass shatters from inside of the bed. And then you pick it up.
Aaron: Pick it up as. I'm like, kind of.
Skylar: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Aaron: And then I'll, pull out the phone and call in the other helicopter.
Skylar: Okay, sounds good. And they say why he's calling.
Mikayla: We could just sing.
Skylar: Let'S say, like, ten minutes.
Aaron: Here's the last game.
Skylar: I'm sure our.
Cameron: This is like a helldivers two extraction.
Cameron: Yeah.
Skylar: Okay, so you guys, you know, the five minutes goes by, is the.
Aaron: Boss gonna be on this helicopter?
Skylar: I would imagine not.
Aaron: just his main right hand man, maybe.
Skylar: Sure. Yeah, yeah, probably. whatever the case, as you guys are waiting, you can kind of eventually hear the sounds of the helicopter in the distance. And as it approaches, all of a sudden, pulling himself up, the helipad is admiral Ash. And he says, you're not no film crew. You're not getting off this island.
Cameron: I want to hit him with a stumbiton.
Skylar: Okay, sounds good. Roll a fight.
Cameron: Is she hitting asthma with a stumbaton?
Aaron: Yes.
Skylar: Yes.
Aaron: Yeah, because I'm kind of. I'm kind of focused on you guys, making sure I don't get attacked.
Cameron: That is a twelve.
Aaron: The kid hits hard.
Cameron: Seven plus one.
Skylar: Yes. So you got a, On a ten plus. Oh, you get both. You don't even have to choose. You get both. So not only are you not injured by his pulling out the pistol, which is good, because we really didn't want to shoot a kid during this. you also injure the enemy. So you. You just rush over. I don't even know, describe what the scene looks like as you run.
Cameron: He's coming up like, he's obviously not looking at me because nobody's looking at me, I'm like. So he starts, he's like pulling himself up, threatening you. I just walk up behind me, right in the side of the neck.
Skylar: He's gonna donk him. And then he just, oh, he falls down. He collapses. All right. Awesome. And as that happens, the helicopter flies in, lowers down. You all, I guess load onto it. No, no.
Cameron: Why would we load onto it?
Cameron: Because we're extraction.
Cameron: He's not with us, is he?
Aaron: I mean, I'm. This is our boss's helicopter. I'm just doing what our boss ordered me separately to do.
Cameron: Oh, you're with us.
Mikayla: He just wanted all the dino information.
Cameron: We were gonna give it to your boss anyway.
Aaron: I can't have you guys see anything that involves some of it.
Mikayla: That's basically, he doesn't want us to be privy to the information.
Aaron: Yes, you guys can gladly make it out alive right now. You don't know what all is entailed with the document stuff, which is why I was focused on.
Skylar: So I'm gonna be off now.
Mikayla: I'm not leaving.
Skylar: Okay, tell me about that. the helicopter. Everybody loads onto the helicopter and they all turn and they look at you.
Aaron: You're just hopping on the helicopter, huh?
Cameron: I don't care. I mean, chips, are you hopping on.
Cameron: I feel like out of everyone here, the only person I trust is you. So I'm literally standing with you.
Aaron: You're gonna wait for Aspen to get back unconscious?
Cameron: No, I'm gonna beg you to please come with me because I'm so scared. Please don't let me. I can't go with them alone.
Mikayla: There's so much information on this island. I could stay at the hotel. There's a lab. Jimmy, just get on the plane.
Aaron: You just won't be able to leave.
Cameron: That's fine.
Mikayla: I don't want to leave if you're staying.
Cameron: I'm not leaving. I'm not staying with them.
Mikayla: You'll die on this island.
Cameron: He was going to shoot us.
Mikayla: But he didn't.
Cameron: I don't know. Everyone tries to leave me behind. Don't leave me behind.
Cameron: Aw.
Aaron: I mean, I could threaten you both to get on the helicopter.
Skylar: Threat.
Cameron: Oh, what about.
Skylar: What about the doctor?
Cameron: Oh, I'm enjoying. This is like reality tv show. I'm enjoying my chips. I'm just standing there.
Skylar: On or off the helicopter.
Aaron: Oh, we're leaving.
Mikayla: Whether you guys are staying tormented. Do I want to leave Jimmy?
Cameron: Well, Jimmy's not getting on if you're not getting on.
Cameron: Is this the helicopter?
Mikayla: But here's.
Skylar: I like to think it's an open thing. I don't think there's really much to buckle up. It's like one of those helicopter that's specifically for military.
Cameron: I would jump after you.
Skylar: Yeah, yeah, but there.
Mikayla: There has to be some.
Cameron: Trust, Eileen.
Skylar: Trust me.
Mikayla: But I want to stay on the island.
Skylar: You can stay on the island.
Aaron: That's your choice. You're the scientist. I mean, there's no harm in you staying on the island. I just.
Mikayla: But there is harm having a ten year old boy standing, staying on the island.
Cameron: For the record, I've done a pretty good job. Did you see me take out that guy?
Cameron: That's pretty good.
Cameron: Can someone actually. Can we put him on the helicopter? He will be if we leave him.
Aaron: I mean, I'm gonna become that, like, a mastermind criminal.
Mikayla: He's almost a preteen. It's fine. He can stay on the island with me.
Skylar: Okay.
Cameron: I'm gonna go to asthma.
Skylar: You're gonna what?
Cameron: I'm gonna go over to asthma.
Skylar: Okay.
Cameron: How close to dying is he?
Skylar: He's not really that close to dying. He's just knocked out for the moment.
Aaron: I mean, you can always just wait.
Skylar: Oh.
Cameron: How close is he to die?
Skylar: let's see what you guys knocked him out with a thing and chloroform. I don't know if he really. I mean, he's just unconscious.
Aaron: Maybe he's got, like, a little jitter.
Mikayla: He could have arrhythmia.
Skylar: Sure, he could have arrhythmia.
Mikayla: I mean, he could have. Well, is he old, just in kid standard or is he actually old?
Skylar: Sure, let's say that. Like, he, Maybe you hit it well, hey, you did get like a twelve. Maybe he got hit a little too hard on the head.
Mikayla: Well, too long.
Skylar: Yeah, yeah. And the chemicals in his brain already and just everything else. Yeah, sure. He's almost.
Cameron: Sick.
Mikayla: Felon hit his head on a rock.
Skylar: Considered, at the very least, you could say from a long term standpoint, he's definitely on the brink of dying, because he's gonna just be left here and he's already been bombed. Yeah.
Cameron: Okay. the doctor, while you guys are having your moment, whatever. And he's saying, get on the helicopter. The doctor's gonna be like, hold on, guys. This is going to be really important. And I'll be right back. And he just starts walking down to asthma. And you guys see him open up his kit, which he hasn't opened, really opened up for you guys. And you see him reaching he's going to pull out two, what are.
Skylar: They called that electrode things?
Cameron: Yeah, the shock of life. Basically. He pulls them out and he goes, all right. The only thing the heart understands is electrode electricity. And I'm just gonna snap em together. You guys are gonna get Lenny and I'm gonna push it onto his chest.
Skylar: What's going on?
Cameron: and then I reach into my box and I pull out a notepad. I go, how would you rate your experience of death?
Skylar: What's the scale?
Cameron: Anything. What'd you see?
Skylar: Oh, man. And he starts to recount the horrible, horrifying things that he saw in the dark blackness of death.
Cameron: Awesome.
Aaron: Wow.
Cameron: Awesome. Also note when you guys look at, Lazarus as he's taking these notes, you notice he grabbed like, halfway through his thing and flipped it backwards. And this isn't the first person. Anyways, he takes these notes, he goes, all right, thanks. That's all. And then he just like, grabs the chlorophyll he still has and just puts it on his back.
Mikayla: I mean, if you hold the chlorophyll her month too long, can it kill you?
Cameron: I don't need to kill him. I just wanted to knock him back out again.
Skylar: He just does a quick little hoop.
Mikayla: I just met earlier when he was smothering him in the car.
Cameron: I put the pen in my pocket, I close my box with my notebook in it, and I go walk into the helicopter. All right?
Mikayla: Me and Jimmy definitely don't want to be on the helicopter.
Skylar: I'm going to do a hostage.
Mikayla: I'm just going to, those are the dinosaurs.
Cameron: I just buckle myself in and I go, I got what I wanted. I'm good.
Skylar: Awesome. All right. And with that, I think we close out the scene with the helicopter trailing off into the distance. Jimmy and doctor Mackenzie look at each other, and then they head back over, hop into the jeep, and they drive back.
Cameron: Just be clear. We left the admiral.
Skylar: Yeah, he's just gonna, he'll wake up eventually, hopefully, and call on his rescue. That's right. That's true. And drive off back to the hotel and resort to kind of set up a little camp there.
Mikayla: I mean, if Jimmy Fallon can figure out how to, you know, ride a t rex, I'm sure we'll be fine. You're not wrong.
Skylar: You are not wrong.
Cameron: Sorry, Jimmy. Again.
Skylar: Doctor Mackenzie gets, to stay on the island and do her research, which was kind of her secret objective. doctor Lazarus was able to bring somebody back from the brink of death and get some research on that. Which was his secret objective. Sergeant Tim was, able to ensure that the research and information does not really leave the island, per se, with maybe a little bit of, a. What do they call that? A open. What is that? A residual, I don't know, situation, whatever the case with the doctor, because, he's leaving the island. He's seen some things, but, you know, it is what it is. Cameron: Oh, a triceratop. All right, here we go.

Mikayla: We have a freaking triceratops.
Skylar: Yeah, well, hey, and that's gonna help both of you guys.
Aaron: Baby triceratops.
Cameron: That's why I was like, do you want to see what I found.
Skylar: Hatches to show her? So now it's like a living creature. And that's gonna aid in your research? Yeah.
Mikayla: Once we can figure out if you can actually take care of a dinosaur, maybe we'll give him another one.
